A Universal Basic Morality
Hey Fam!
Thank you so much for supporting the new book. Now that it’s out, would you consider taking a second right now to write a 5 star review on Amazon? They really help give it a leg up there. 1-2 sentences is fine!
Also, for this week’s Fuseletter, I simply want to point you to a podcast I was recently on called The Human Voice. I think it’s one of the best interviews I’ve ever done...in part, because the host, Bob Hutchins, asked such great questions. Here’s an excerpt:
We are going to need to adopt a “universal basic morality” at some point because we're on the cusp of the next Industrial Revolution and it's going to change the way work is done. Not just blue collar jobs, white collar jobs as well. [We need to] reconvene and go, “Hey look, you have these beliefs, I have these beliefs. We differ on this, but together we can come up with this moral baseline about the dignity of what it means to be human in a world run by big tech companies who are going to just continue to obliterate us with AI.” We did it 120 years ago with the first Industrial Revolution. It's high time we've done it again.
You can listen to the full interview here.
PS. The pilot for “A Very Ordinary Gathering” here in Columbus last Friday went great! If you’re interested in hosting a fun, inspiring workshop/talk for your team/community on ways we can maintain our humanity as we work, live, and play in an increasingly digital world, give me a shout!
