To Wait is to Be Human
Before we all break for the Holidays, here’s the final Ordinary Meditation covering the last few chapters of the book.
It’s a reflection on the concept of waiting, an ordinary practice easily forgotten except for this time of year where it simply can’t be avoided.
As the world anticipates the incarnation of peace,
as a mother anticipates the arrival of a child,
as children anticipate the minute they can finally open their presents,
we come face to face with the estranged idea that not every whim can be instantly gratified.
And if we’re wise, that awkward greeting can become an embrace.
Merry Christmas,
CJ
